Does the exSILentia Server software cover Failure Modes, Effects, and Diagnostic Analysis (FMEDA) and/or Fault Tree Analysis (FTA)?

The exSILentia tool will enable you to determine a required SIL for a Safety Instrumented Function and calculate the achieved SIL for that Safety Instrumented Function. The calculation of achieved SIL is driven by an equipment database containing failure rates for thousands of products. In that the exSILentia tool incorporates FMEDA sourced data used to determine component failure rates, FMEDA itself is not required. The SIF voting selections and advanced calculation engine in SILver can achieve the same as FTA, but actually far more advanced modelling can be done.
