Do you mean the full stroke as the proof test or as a "partial stroke test/application level diagnostic"?
In the latter case, simply assume that you do a partial stroke test, this be conservative (you do the full stroke), but in most cases is adequate to achieve your targets. You can then still have a manual proof test that will include other aspects like visual inspection in addition to the full stroke test.
