How does the software calculate a SIF? Does exSILentia 4 use the RBD, simple model, solution tree or another model?

exSILentia uses a time based Markov model calculation to determine the probability of failure on demand for each SIF. The Markov model analysis allows the tool to account for all failure modes in one model (including impact of safe failures on PFD), intermediate states, failure and repair transitions and periodic testing.
