Frequently Asked Question
If "frozen output" failures are classified as DU, and failures as "drift failure" are classified as 50%DU and 50%SU, then DU failure rate should always be higher than SU failure rate. But considering, for example, the Yokogawa EJA Serie E transmitter I see

In principle your statement is correct, i.e. if all drift failures are evenly split S/D than DU should always be higher than SU. There may be certain failures in a device that will drive one way more dominantly. I do not have intimate knowledge of the EJA Serie E failure behavior, nor would I be able to discuss this without Yokogawa's written permission.
