You can use a little probability trick to convert a calculated average Probability of Failure on Demand and MTTFS to failure rates for use in a subsequent SIF. Use SILver to generate your PFDavg and MTTFS for any subsystem, then convert back to failure rates by using the "Calculate from PFDavg/PFH" feature within a user defined equipment item.
